The most important lesson I have learned about leadership is to listen to your team, provide guidance and feedback, and share appreciation often.I watched my supervisors and asked to run new tasks and with that I learned new skills.
If you’re looking to grow in a company, it helps to be observant.Another contribution to my development is my department leadership team, who are supportive and can be a go-to soundboard when needed.
It made me confident to become a manager. With their guidance, I worked on the skills necessary to perform at manager level. While I was a supervisor, my former manager was a great mentor to me. You can learn many skills that will help you grow in the department or another in the company. Here you work with all departments and are guest facing. I think the ACE Club is a great starting point.
